Botswana
Botswana is one of the prime wildlife safari destinations in Africa with iconic parks such as Chobe and Moremi showcasing great elephant concentrations and the Okavango Delta.
OKAVANGO
The Okavango Delta is the only inland delta of its kind and a unique oasis of life in the centre of the arid Kalahari Desert in Botswana.
The 16,000 km² delta owes its existence to rainfall in the Angolan highlands. The rainy season begins in November, and the floodwater starts its 250 kilometre journey downstream. Because of the gentle slope of the delta basin, the floods take around six months to make their way from Angola.
The Okavango Delta consists of channels, tributaries and lagoons as well as floodplains, islands and mainland areas. There are two distinct areas of the Delta: the vegetation of the permanent swamp includes groves of wild date palm, swathes of papyrus, islands fringed with forest and lagoons covered with floating water lilies while the seasonal swamp consists of open floodplains which support tall and elegant real fan palms.

Walking in the wilderness is the highlight of a true safari experience.
No special training is required as the focus is on exploration and discovery – tracking fresh spoor each morning to reveal the night’s events. Guests will be in the hands of the best professional guides whose first passion is to interpret and bring to life every aspect of the bush.
Other possible activities include game-drives, Mokoro or fishing trips, which vary throughout the year.
EXCLUSIVE. WILD. OKAVANGO
BEAGLE EXPEDITIONS
Being the only mobile safari operation in Botswana to offer total exclusivity of both the camp as well as the concession, makes Beagle Expeditions one of Botswana’s most exclusive safari experiences.
Located within an exclusive concession of Abu Private Reserve, Beagle Expeditions explores a wild and spectacular corner of the western Okavango Delta on their Kweene Trails. What makes this area so special is its remoteness and being accessible only by helicopter.
The core principle of each safari is a bespoke experience designed around each guests individual abilities and interests. Keeping the camp facilities simple yet abundantly comfortable, the essence of Beagle Expeditions is to remove the trappings of designed luxury and embrace the greatest luxury of all, to be wild and free. At the same time each guest can be assured of fantastic food with a carefully crafted focus on fine wines and premium beverages topped off with great service and one of Botswana’s best guided safaris.
This is not the normal per person per night safari concept. Beagle Expeditions offers a truly private experience by taking only 1 booking at a time for a minimum of 4 guests (maximum of 10) and a minimum stay of 4 nights.
